Brent Christensen is a trained actor who's experience displays over forty years of performance experience with such companies as Berkeley Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, The Eureka Theatre, the Magic Theatre, Berkeley Stage Company, PCPA, the Santa Clarita Shakespeare, San Francisco Shakespeare in the Park, Repertory East Playhouse and many others as well as performances as a guest artist at Collage of the Canyons.

Brent had a small career in TV and Film performing as a photo double for Lee Majors in "Fall Guy," various extra performances in TV shows shot in San Francisco and several soap operas shot in LA, and he had a recurring detective part in "Parners in Crime" with Loni Anderson and Linda Carter. He worked a week on "Howard the Duck" for Lucas film but was a cutting room casualty except for one shot of him falling out of a boat.

Brent was one of founding artists and artistic advisor for the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival.  As an educator, he created the drama program at Placerita Junior High, and eventually moving to Hart High School, where is was the Theatre program director, teacher, producer, and sometime writer, creating works with his students and producing everything from big musicals to Shakespeare to Neil Simon.  Brent is survived by his with of thirty-five years and frequent stage partner, Janice Crow-Christensen, his daughter Emil, and his two grandchildren.

Brent was a beloved ensemble member, teacher, mentor, husband, and father. On July 13th, 2025, at his memorial, we celebrated his life and memories, and launched the Brent Christensen Memorial Scholarship Fund. We provide this scholarship to continue his legacy for the arts and education of the craft.  This scholarship, SCSF's first, is dedicated providing a scholarship to a local Wm S. Hart High School Student working toward a career in theatre or theatre education.

The goal of the endowed fund is $10,000
